Basic Description
Brachypelma klaasi aka Mexican Pink Beauty - native to Mexico, they are found in Guerero and Michocan. They live up to 30 years or more, they can grow up to 6 inches or more. Their main diet are insects and sometimes small animals. These species is the rarest from all the species in the genus. This tarantula has a a unique carapace, it has a very black V shape carapace with faded black on the outside of the V shape to make the V shape pattern more noticeable. Its has a very beautiful robust pink hairs on its legs all the way to its abdomen. abdomen. This is one of the rare tarantulas in the hobby and endangered in the wild.
Temperament
One of the best beginner pet tarantulas. Most individuals are nervous but calms down after a while. They are usually out from their house or burrow which is perfect as a display pet. From 1 - 10 being ten the most aggressive this specie is 3-4 in most individuals.
Diet
In captivity they usually feed on crickets, roaches, mice, small reptiles and amphibians. They only eat once or twice a week. Depending on the size of the abdomen of the tarantula, they can survive for weeks without eating.
Housing

Tarantulas need moist substrate so that their book lungs will not dry out. Any of the following substrate can be use, vermiculite, sphagnum moss, cocofiber and orchid bark.
Water dish is required, not a lot of people know but tarantulas drink too. Make sure that the water dish is clean at all times to stop the development of bacteria in the tarantula cage.
Growth Rate
This specie grow rate from 1 - 10, 10 being the fastest and 1 being the slowest. This specie grow about 6 out of 10 speed, with daily feeding they can reach adulthood from 4-5 years in captivity.
Special Feature
This tarantulas have two morps one montane and coastal. Its one of the few tarantulas that have a unique pattern on its carapace despite its dark coloration.
